This policy explains what Emerald Crest Landscaping collects when you use this website or call the number on it, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have written it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a quote or contact form we collect the name, email address, phone number and project details you type in. When you call us we collect your phone number and whatever you tell us about your project.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site records basic technical information about each visit: the pages you view, roughly where in the country you are, the type of device and browser you use, how you arrived at the site, and how quickly pages loaded for you.

We do not ask for, and have no use for, payment card details, Social Security numbers, or any other sensitive personal information through this website.

Phone calls and call recording

The phone number shown on this website is a tracking number provided by CallRail, Inc. It rings through to Emerald Crest Landscaping exactly like our main line. The number you see may change depending on how you reached the site, which is how we tell which marketing brought you to us.

Calls to and from this number are recorded. When you call us, CallRail records the conversation on our behalf and stores it, along with your phone number, the date and time, the length of the call, and the marketing source that referred you. We use recordings to make sure enquiries are handled well, to train our team, and to confirm the details of work you have asked us to quote.

Some states require that everyone on a call agrees to being recorded. We treat telling you here, and telling you again if you ask, as how we make that clear.

If you would prefer not to be recorded, say so at the start of the call and we will stop the recording, or contact us in writing at [email protected] instead. You can also ask us to delete a recording of a call you have already had with us, and we will.

Forms

Quote and contact forms on this site are handled by Formspree, Inc., which passes the submission to our inbox and keeps a copy so nothing is lost. We use what you send only to respond to your enquiry and to carry out any work you go on to book.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects the technical information described above so we can see which pages are useful and which are not. It tells us about visitors as a group; we do not use it to identify you personally.

You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you using this website.

This site is hosted on Cloudflare, which also measures real page-load speed so we can keep the site fast. That measurement is anonymous.

Advertising

We advertise this business on Google. Google may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure whether an advert led to an enquiry, and to avoid showing you the same advert repeatedly. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not upload customer lists for advertising.

You can control how Google personalises adverts for you at myadcenter.google.com.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We share it only with the service providers that make this website and our phones work — currently Google (analytics), Cloudflare (hosting), Google (advertising), CallRail (call tracking and recording) and Formspree (form handling) — and each is allowed to use it only to provide that service to us.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and call records for as long as we may reasonably need them for the relationship — typically while we are quoting or working for you, and for a period afterwards for warranty and record-keeping. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time, and we will. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state privacy law; we will honour a reasonable request whether or not the law compels us to.

Children

This website is meant for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change how we handle information we will update this page and the effective date above.
